This is the number of pages on your website that are indexed by Google™.

The more pages that Google™ indexes, the better.

A low number (relative to the total number of pages/URLs on your website) probably indicates that your internal link architecture needs improvement and is preventing Google™ from crawling all pages on your website.

URL

http://vinch.be

Length: 5 characters

Show advice

Keep your URLs short. If possible, avoid long domain names.

A descriptive URL is better recognized by search engines. A user should be able to look at the address bar and make an accurate guess about the content of the page before reaching it (e.g., http://www.mysite.com/en/products).

Keep in mind that URLs are an important part of a comprehensive SEO strategy.

Use clean URLs to make your site more "crawlable" by Google™.

Resource: Search for a good domain name here. If no good names are available, consider a second hand domain from Sedo. Go to EuroDNS to register the country extensions for your target markets.

To prevent brand theft, you might consider trademarking your domain name.

Great experiences with standard technologies: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, etc. (FR) – Edouard Seynaeve (CTO at wepika) 20:40 – Flash: wow effect, performances, SEO & accessibility (EN) – Serge Jespers (Adobe Platform Evangelist) 21:00 – Why standard technologies will kill Flash (sooner or later) (EN) – Gert Baudoncq (Lead Project Manager at Netlash) 21:20 – Mobile applications: Flash vs. HTML5 vs. other technologies (FR) – Sébastien Arbogast (Software Architect and Developer at Epseelon) 21:40 – Questions & debate Durant toute la soirée, vous pourrez voter pour votre technologie préférée via un wall Twitter spécial concocté par mes amis de ATOTW.
